We are all devastated up here about Morgan, particularly Kate, me, Andrew Hornery, Liz Knight, PD Jack and Pete Brown who all worked with him.
I still expect to see him stroll through the foyer and give me a wave with his satchel over his shoulder....
I was telling the team here about the story of when AMP demutualised and we had to get case studies.
At the end of the day we got Anne Lampe's husband, Hughsie's mum, Mrs H and Morgan rang his then girlfriend Charlie. Who, of course, was a glamazon.
But when we went to do the follow-up story Seany Aylmer said to Morgan to call Charlie and see if she had sold her shares. Morgan, in his laid back style said "No mate can't do that...". We found out then that they had broken up.
But always the intrepid journo Morgan relented and called her and promptly they got back together... albeit for a short time...it was pure Morgan.
He will be sadly missed here...
