To the Mellish family,

I wanted to express my sincere sympathy to your entire family.I had the pleasure of working with Morgan when I handled the publicity for his Gerard AFR cover story. It wasn't the best introduction I could have - waking a sleepy and tired Morgan on his mobile at 6am with radio interview requests - after he'd been working late finalising his exclusive story.However Morgan didn't grumble (too much:)) at the early morning rise, and professionally undertook all the radio interviews we had for him. Morgan was immediately likeable, easy going and a standout journalist within the AFR team.He will be greatly missed.
